About Judith Celia Singleton

Judy was born a Bascom and was adopted by her step-father, Roy Shaffer, after Charles Bascom died in 1958. Roy Shaffer worked for the Eaton Company in Battle Creek, MI and was a long-time union steward there. When he retired from Eaton he sold real estate for many years. Judy was a music major graduate of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN and was a beloved Christian singer. At about age 55 she graduated from law school and practiced law for some years until cancer ended her life at 65.
