Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) - January 15, 1998 Julia Loveless Houston passed away January 12, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born August 8, 1904 in Orem, Utah, to James Anderson and Clara Jane Adams Loveless. Married D. Crawford Houston June 9, 1926 in the Salt Lake Temple. Julia was an active member of the LDS Church. She was a missionary in the Northwestern States Mission where she met her husband. She served in all auxiliaries including in the Relief Society as president and in the Young Women's program. She served with her husband, who was presiding over the California South Mission and they were also temple workers for many years in the Salt Lake Temple. She was active in the PTA and served as president. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and enjoyed her family.
Survived by husband; three children, Betty Jean Houston Sim (Bountiful, UT), Karma Houston (Bountiful, UT) and David Houston, Jr. (Sandy, UT); eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 1998, 12 noon at the Monument Park 9th Ward, 1565 South Foothill Drive. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South and Saturday at the ward from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
