About Julia Quiñones

Julia Quiñones was the third of ten children of Esteban Valdés and Marcelina Velasco. She was of Tagalog ans Spanish descent. She was baptized by Patricio Calderón, and her godmother at the time of her baptism was Mercedes Velasco, who was single from Pasig at that time. She worked as a schoolteacher before she was promoted to principal at Malinta Elementary School in Valenzuela, Bulacan (present-day Metro Manila).
