CHRISTOPHERS-BREMNER.-On April 21, 1908, at St. Paul's pro-Cathedral, Wellington, by the Rev. T. H. Sprott, vicar, Julian Anthony, second son of A. Christophers, Invercargill, to Earle Featherstone, second daughter of the late D J. Bremner, of Wellington.

Obituary
Private Julian Anthony Christophers (died of wounds) left with the 25th Reinforcements. Born in Dunedin thirty-tree years ago, he went to Invercargill when a boy, and was educated at the Middle and Park Schools and Southland Boys' High School. He entered Wright, Stephenson and Co.'s, Ltd., and afterwards went to Wellington, becoming manager for Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., at Wairoa, Hawke's Bay. He was a member of the Pirates and Invercargill Football Clubs, and played for Southland two seasons, till badly hurt in the knee, when about 21 years old. He was also in the Invercargill Rowing Club's senior four. Private Christophers was the second son of Mr and Mrs A. Christophers, late of the Bank of New South Wales. One brother, Trooper Victor J. C. Christophers, was killed at Gallipolli in May 1915; another, Captain Herbert Christophers, was Killed in France in June 1916; and the eldest, 2nd Lieut. Reginald Christophers, is in the 34th Reinforcements. Private Christophers married Miss Earle Bremner, of Wellington, and leaves a widow and one daughter. He was a member of the Second Division, and enlisted over a year ago.
