Appears on 1850 & 1860 census with James & Juliet Craig. James' biographical sketch says he and Juliet had no children of their own but raised three others. Cannot find any records after 1860. Particularly dificult to search for as "Jasper" and "Slaughter" are both names of Iowa counties. He would have been age expected to fight in Civil War. So military records might be best option for further research. |
