MCP: Although Ivan Mirnik's research had originally noted that Julija's maiden name was Rubin, that appears to have been her father’s first name, rather than his surname. The death record of her son Jakob and the marriage record of her son Ludwig lists her maiden name as Neumann. Further, the marriage record of her daughter Mimi was witnessed by Isak Neumann in Gussing (shortly after her father, Urban/Rubin, died), and and Julija and her son Jacob were godparents to several Neumanns born in Gussing (after Samuel Alexander died).
In addition, the t'naim (prenuptual agreement) related to Julija's marriage states that she is the daughter of Reuben Neumann. T'naim was executed 15th of Tamuz 5579 (July 8, 1819), and calls for a wedding on the following 1st (rosh chodesh) of Tevet (December 19, 1819) in Gussing.
