June Ann DeYoung nee Rietveld, age 77, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at a hospice facility in Mesa, AZ. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Peter; children: Lee and Sheri DeYoung of Jenison, MI, Wayne and Penny DeYoung of Peotone, IL, Terry and Cindi Veldheer DeYoung of Holland, MI, Kent DeYoung and Joe Miracle of Mesa, AZ, Burt and Dawn DeYoung of Edgar, WI and the late Kevin DeYoung, in 1965. Proud grandmother of 12; Great-grandmother of 10; siblings: Marilyn and John Blackford of Thornton, IL, Ruth and Nelson Van Deursen of Manitowish Waters, WI and Ted Rietveld of Manteno, IL; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation Sunday, August 6, 2006 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home (649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Funeral service Monday – 10:00 a.m. at Crete Reformed Church (24755 Country Ln. IL Hwy. 394 & Exchange St. Crete, IL) with Rev. Terry A. DeYoung officiating. Interment Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery – Monee, IL. Mrs. DeYoung was born in Harvey, IL and graduated from Thornton Township High School in Harvey. She was a sales representative for Tupperware and Avon products and worked as a home health aide and personal assistant. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Edgar, WI. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts to Peace Lutheran Church "Ramp Fund" (F1843 Huckleberry Rd. Edgar, WI 54426) would be appreciated.
