Oscar was one of 8 siblings. His parents were from Norway. He was raised in Lowell, NA. He married using the last name of Nordby, which his parents were using at the time. He went by his middle name of Oscar and many nieces and nephews called him Ockie. He had one daughter with his first wife. He served in WW11 as a military policeman and an ammunitions truck driver. Mr. Enger was an iron molder, a trade he learned from his father. In recent years, until his retirement, he was employed by the City of Lowell Ashes and Waste Department. Mr. Enger was a life member of the Disabled Veterans, Edith Nurse Rogers Post No. 25, and the Massachusetts Retired State, County, and Municipal Employees Association. He had no children with his second wife.
