In the 1860 census, Catherine Bryant is enumerated twice. In one listing, she's age 18 and living at home with her parents, John and Sarah Vaneman, and listed as a widow. She was also enumerated in the household of her sister, and living with her husband, George Bryant.

In 1880, Cathrine is age 32, living with second husband George Wilcox, age 30, a comb maker. Listed as stepsons in the household are William Bryant age 14 (rope walk listed as occupation) and James Bryant age 11 (working in a stick factory).
