

"John Jackson, of Hickleton, co York, Esq., 1st son and heir of Sir John Jackson of Edderthorpe in that county (died 2 July 1637) by his 2nd wife, Fiennes, daughter of Sir Thomas Waller, Governor of Dover Castle, was born about 1631, and was created Baronet, 31 December 1660. He was aged 34 at the Visit. of Yorkshire in 1665. He married firstly, in or before 1653, Katherine, sister of George,1st Baron Delamere, daughter of William Booth, of Dunham, co Chester, by Vere, daughter and coheir of Thomas (Egerton), 1st Viscount Brackley. She, who was born 11 May 1624, died 1667. He married secondly, Lucy, widow of Sir William Jopson, 2nd Baronet [S 1635], of Cudworth in Royston, co York, daughter of Henry Tindall of Brotherton in that county. He died in or before 1670."
