About Kathleen J. Brantley
Neshoba Democrat
1/10/2007 6:00:00 PM JUST AMONG FRIENDS By RACHEL EVANS
Kathleen and Billy Brantley celebrated an early Christmas the weekend before when their family gathered in their home on King Avenue. Johnny, Deanie and Tyler Fanning came from Madison, while Philadelphians, Teresa, Bass, Buck and Robyn Fanning and Martha Murphy joined in the celebration.
This family became dear to us during the years we lived on Breland Street as neighbors to Ma and Pa Jones. Missing from the circle was Johnny's twin brother, Jimmy, but to this day I can still see Mike and Jackie (Long) and Jimmy and Johnny shooting marbles from the four corners of our then-new piece of green carpet in the living room. We, like the carpet, have lost some of our plush through the years, but as Kat said, "I'm thankful for every day I've had!"
