Harold John "Kayo" Rietveld

Harold John "Kayo" Rietveld, 65, of McLean, Virginia, formerly of South Holland, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 1, 1996 in Arlington, Virginia. He is survived by his wife Dee (nee Avery) of McLean, VA.; one sister, Jane Paarlberg of South Holland; in-laws, Fred and Dorothy Avery of Arlington, VA. and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 5, 1996 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of First Reformed Church, 15924 So. Park Ave., South Holland, IL., with services conducted by Rev. John David Paarlberg. Interment, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, Illinois. Visitation Tuesday 5 to 9 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 East 162nd St. (Rt 6), South Holland, Illinois.

Mr. Rietveld graduated in 1954 from the University of Illinois with a B.S. Degree in Engineering. In 1956 he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant and began his career with Aerojet General Company. where he retired as the assistant to the Vice President Washington D.C. office in 1989.
