Date of birth in Thames found online via Ancestry in NZ WWI and WWII Service Records, which also confirm his parents' names and his occupation, solicitor (or insurance agent, according to another record). When he enlisted in WWI in 1917 he was single. When he enlisted again in 1940 he stated his occupation was insurance agent and that he was not married. In 1942 when he enlisted again, he stated he was divorced and had one child under 16.

NZ Cemetery Records 1800-2007 [online] show he was buried on 14 July 1975 at Totara, Thames, having died aged 81. A link to Find-a-Grave shows that he died on 7 July 1975 and was buried at Totara Memorial Park. HIs spouse was Edna Dorothy GREAVES (1916-1999).
