Kenneth L. Buck, 82, of Grand Island died Saturday, March 3, 2018.
A celebration of life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Gollaher Chapel of Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kelly Karges and Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Kenneth was born Sept. 9, 1935, at Greeley, the son of Thomas and Cecelia (Hust) Buck. He was raised and received his education in Greeley, graduating from Greeley High School with the Class of 1953.
On July 12, 1954, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ewers at Holyoke, Colo. The couple lived in St. Paul until 1956, when they made Grand Island their home. Ken was employed by Willman’s Food Store from 1956 to 1967. Later he worked at New Holland, retiring in 1991. He then went to work for the South Locust Jack and Jill, and he later drove a truck for the Grand Island Public Schools Food Service.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he served as usher and in the United Methodist Men.
Survivors include his children, Paul Buck of Bennet, Robert “Bob” (Dawnita) Buck of Grand Island and Steven (Nan) Buck of Monterey, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; a son, Michael Joseph Buck; six brothers and three sisters.
