Kenneth Joseph Hoepfl of Perrysburg, Ohio, formerly of Holland, Ohio, passed away on March 6, 2022 at age 92.
Ken was born in January 11, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the only child of Cecelia (Mauch) Hoepfl and Joseph Hoepfl. He attended Saint Francis de Sales Seminary in Milwaukee, and later completed graduate coursework at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Ken spent his professional career working in the field of human resources and personnel relations, the majority of the time at Hunt Wesson Foods (later ConAgra), from which he retired in 1992. After retirement Ken started a new venture building homes, and was involved with the Toledo Home Builders Association for several years serving in multiple capacities. Ken was involved with the Toledo Schwaben Verein, and was a regular contributor to Catholic charities, Toledo Metroparks, Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Symphony and other organizations.
Ken was predeceased by his son, John in 1978, and his second wife, Phyllis in 2017.
He is survived by four of his children, including Michele (Al) Paciunas of Baxter, Tennessee;
Marie Hoepfl (David Finck) of Boone, North Carolina;
Therese Witt (Jeff Roberts) of LaSalle, Michigan; and
Mark (Vicki) Hoepfl, of Maumee; as well as by his grandchildren, Renee, Dustin, Katie, Ledah, Henry, and Willa.
Also surviving is Pat (Roy) Olsson, who was like a daughter to him. Ken is also survived by his very dear life partner, Sylvia Hiris of Perrysburg with whom he found love and happiness. The family is forever grateful to Sylvia for all the laughter and joy she brought to Ken's life.
