Ken was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend. Following an early career as a merchant seaman with his brother, Alden, on the Great Lakes, Ken spent 42 years as a barber in Isle. Over those years, he became the friend of many. Haircuts were only 50 cents in 1937 when he started barbering. Later in his career, long hair became stylish, a challenge he faced bravely. Over the years, hairstyles changed and so did the price of haircuts, but Ken remained everyone’s friend. After Ken retired, he and Orphie left Minnesota’s cold weather behind and spent many winters in Palm Springs. They continued to live in their home in Isle during the summers. He lived and enjoyed a long and full life. Ken will be dearly missed by all. Arrangements by Mille Lacs Lake Funeral home in Isle.
