About Kenneth A Sell
ELGIN - Kenneth A. Sell, 87, of Elgin passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Kindred-Sycamore Hospital, Sycamore. He was born August 14, 1929 in Elgin the son of William and Clara Bohne Sell. Ken had been employed as a truck driver with Cudahy Meat Packing, Elgin Lumber and then Burren Transfer before retiring. He was a life member of Moose Lodge 799, Elgin and had been a volunteer fireman for the South Elgin Fire Dept. for several years. Surviving are his wife, Donna Duensing Sell who he married on June 10, 1961, 6 children, Kathie (Fred) Lee, Sandra Purnell, Tim Sell, Robert (Denise) Sell, William (Debi) Sell and Dave (Tina) Sell, 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Kenneth and James Sell, daughter in law, Judith Sell, granddaughter, Joanne Clarise Sell, grandson John Michael Sell and a brother, Frederick Sell. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Jill Terpstra officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
