Journal Star (Peoria, IL) - Wednesday, January 11, 1995 PEORIA -- Kenneth L. Sieks , 77, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Peoria, died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1995, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Jan. 6, 1918, in Peoria to August and Bertha Ehn Sieks , he married Dorothy Stocksick on May 31, 1939, in Peoria. She died Nov. 11, 1986, in Ocala. Three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren also preceded him in death.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth R. of Terre Haute, Ind.; three daughters, Judy L. Moretta of Memphis, Tenn., Ellen M. Schultz of Mapleton and Debra L. Surratt of Washington, Ill.; three brothers, Elwood and Melvin, both of Peoria, and Elmore of Morton; two sisters, Alice Hobaugh of Florida and Lillian Logue of Commerce, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in 1972 as a purchasing agent.

He was a member of Morton Knights of Columbus, St. Patrick's Men's Club and the former St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Peoria. He was past president of the Independent Sports Club in Peoria.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton and St. Jude Catholic Church in Ocala.

Services will be in Ocala at a later date. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Ocala. Local visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to Morton Knights of Columbus.
