Kimberly Kay "Kim" Reynolds (born August 4, 1959) is the 43rd and current Governor of Iowa. She previously served as the 45th Lieutenant Governor of Iowa and assumed the governorship when incumbent Governor Terry Branstad resigned to become United States Ambassador to China. Reynolds is the first female governor of Iowa. Prior to being lieutenant governor, Reynolds was a state senator from Osceola.
