Kim Allen Spannuth

Kim Allen Spannuth, 56, of Galt, California, and formerly of Fredricksburg, passed away on January 24, 2011. He was born on January 1, 1955, in Lebanon to the late Miles E. "Ted" and Mary Jane (Boyer) Spannuth. He graduated from Northern Lebanon High School in 1972 and received his Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Sacramento. He was an accountant for Chevron for nearly 30 years. During his tenure at Chevron, Kim worked in California, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana. He was very active in sports, especially hiking, softball and baseball, skiing, and bike riding. His favorite hike was Cloud's Rest in Yosemite National Park. Kim was a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies, including being on the APA Board of Examiners. He was also a member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Maria Cabral Spannuth of Galt, Calif.; sons, Thomas Spannuth of Sugar Land, Texas and Benjamin Spannuth of Boulder, Colo; sister, Kay Spannuth of Lebanon; parents-in-law, Charles and Maria Cabral; aunt, Mary Spannuth of Fredricksburg; and numerous Boyer and Spannuth Cousins. Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary to be said at 7 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home in Lodi, California. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Christopher's Catholic Church with committal to follow at Galt-Arno Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kim's memory to St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 950 S. Lincoln Way, Galt, CA 95632.
