Funeral services were held Monday for Knute Geldaker, 74, of Winger, who succumbed late Thursday, May 4, at his farm home in Winger township. The rites were held at one p.m. from the Winger Lutheran Church with Rev. J. A. Karshaven officiating. Interment was made in Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Geldaker was born July 24 in Nicollet County and came to the Thirteen Town community in 1883, homesteading in Winger township where he had since lived. He was married in 1886 to Marie Moen, who died in 1911, and in 1914 he was married to Bertha Paulson who survives him. Also surviving are four sons, Emil, Theodore and Joseph in Winger and Benjamin in Fosston, and six daughters, Mrs. Henry Berg of Cottonwood, Minnesota, Hazel of Winger, Clara, Sophie, and Martha in Minneapolis and Mrs. Olaf Berg of British Columbia. There are also 21 grandchildren.
