Kruger and his wife, Lee, were sleeping in the master bedroom when six men entered their premises in the Rosehaugh area at about 03:00. He awoke to find four men, one armed with a revolver, next to his bed. The other two were standing guard outside. one assailant shot him in the chest and arm

  • Both men were sentenced to an effective prison term of 22 years and will be eligible to apply for parole. A third man, Sfiso Mathebula, was charged and found guilty of the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition as the Krugers’ rifles and ammunition was found in his possession.
