His parents came from Ireland, in religion Presbyterian, from Penn. to Virginia, to N. C., to Tenn., Hawkins Co. where he married Nancey Forgey, then moved to Grassy Valley in Knox co.,
Samuel Crawford's parents were Andrew Crawford and Elaenor,
Nancey Forgey's parents were Andrew Forgey and Peggy Reynolds.
I am a decendant of Nancy who married William McMunn Jr.William McMunn Sr. and William McMunn Jr. were witness to Samuel Crawrords will.

Samuel Crawford served in the Revolutionary War and served under General Washington
