About LaReta Decker
Wife of Victor Decker - Young Mother Dead: Monday morning the startling and sad news was given to the people that Mrs. Loretta Decker, a well known and highly respected young mother, had died from peritonitis. The beginning of the illness that finally resulted in death was La Gripp, from which the deceased seemed to get better, but she suffered a relapse and was taken with cystitis, which developed into peritonitis, lasting seven days. The physician in charge did everything within his power to stay the hand of the grim reaper, but to no avail, as the disease had so fastened itself upon its victim that medical aid was unavailing. The deceased leaves a devoted husband and a baby a little over a year old, to mourn her departure. The sincere sympathy of the people of Parowan goes out to them in their hours of terrible sorrow.
