Lambert Furth

I have seen the ship arrival manifest for a Lambert Furth in New Orleans on the ship named Louisiana which arrived on 21 Oct 1852. His age was noted as being 45. He arrived with Fanny Furth, age 18 and Sophie Furth, age 19. No mother was recorded.

Cecilia Furth arrived in New Orleans on the ship named Heinrich von Gagern which arrived on October 12, 1853. Her age was noted as being 46. She arrived with Rosaia Furth, age 7 and Jacob Furth, age 9. No father was recorded.

They all went to St. Louis. The family came to the US in two parts, reunited in St, Louis after one year separation during which Lambert established a residence for all.

Update with data from Ancestry researcher G. Rosenberg indicating Heinrich Block was married to a Sophie Furth, born in Bohemia in October 1833. She died as a widow on December 14, 1912 and is buried in Afton, St. Louis County, MO. Her parents were also born in Bohemia. She arrived at New Orleans on October 21, 1852 accompanied by Lambert Furth age 45 and Fanny Furth age 18 on the ship Louisiana. This is the same ship the Block family arrived on several years earlier also at New Orleans.
