About Lamont Gingerich
Lamont Gingerich, 85, of Level Green, died on Monday, September 19, 2016 at West Penn Hospice, Pittsburgh. He was born on November 15, 1930 in Spanish Fork, UT, to the late John Lewis Gingerich and Lily Mae (Stebbins) Gingerich Lucas. Lamont was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and worked for many years at the nuclear center of Westinghouse, prior to his retirement.
Lamont is survived by his beloved wife, Clara Janice (McDowell) Gingerich; five children and their spouses, Monice & Richard Green of NE, Ilene & Terry Harless of VA, Margaret & Brian Toney of UT, Danielle & Peter White of KS, and David John & Tami Gingerich of VA; six grandchildren; and four siblings living in Utah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ivan.
Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City (724-744-2721). Additional visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2016 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM, with service at noon, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 710 New Texas Rd., Pittsburgh (Plum), PA 15239. Please meet at church. Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, N. Huntingdon. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to Disabled American Veterans.
