School: attended Cedar Valley Seminary Lived: Sidney and Mary Ann made their first home on a farm east of Orchard, IA. They purchased the farm (part of the land settled by John and Mary Ann Van Voltenburg Lewis in 1854) on the N 1/2 of Sec. 6, in West Lincoln Twp., Mitchell Co., IA. Their farm was sold to their daughter Ada and her husband, Adam Mark. This farm is now (1994) owned by their son Robert and his wife Marjorie.
