Funeral services for Larry Thomas will be conducted from the St. John's Lutheran Church in Oxford, Nebraska on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend George Naylor, officiating. Interment will be in the Oxford Cemetery. Larry Lee Thomas, 58 years of age, of Oxford passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at the Bryan LGH-East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Larry was born on May 3, 1946 at Norton, Kansas, the son of Floyd and Marie (Kratz) Thomas. Larry served his country in the Navy for four years, stationed at San Diego, California during the Vietnam War. On December 11, 1971 he was united in marriage to Jane Marie Leising at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe and to this union two daughters were born: Lynette Marie and Jolene Reyna. Larry was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and the American Legion in Oxford. He enjoyed building model cars, playing cards and especially spending time with his family and friends.
