From book Tapestry it reads: When Elna was ninteen her first son, Lars Nelson was born. The name of his father is unknown by the family. In 1992 a descendant of Elna's sister, Johanna, got interested in genealogy and family history and started contacting her distant Nilsson relatives, fourth and fifth cousins. She shared with her distant cousins the stories that had been passed down in her family from her great-great-grandmother Johanna. We may not know everything there is to know about our great-great-grandmother, but her brothers and sisters weren't so reluctant to talk about their sister. The story that had been passed down through Johanna's family over the years is that the father of Elna's baby was the future King of Sweden. When Elna's parents came to the United States they smuggled Lars out of Sweden. The Lars Nelson family now proudly tells the story that one of their ancestors was the King of Sweden. However Elna wasn't proud of it and the story was never told to any of her descendants.
