Laura Vida Steffen

Laura V. Scallon (born Steffen) was born in 1888 to Nicholas M. Steffen and Emma Steffen (born Bear). Nicholas was born October 12 1859 in Stephenson County, Illinois. Emma was born July 29 1865 in Freeport, Stephenson County, Illinois. Laura was baptized in 1888 in Iowa. She had 2 brothers: Nicholas Adrian Steffen and Raymond Leo Steffen. Laura married William S. Scallon in 1911, at age 23, in Iowa. William was born September 3 1884, in Iowa,. They had 8 children: Harold Joseph Scallon, Hugh Nicholas Scallon and 6 others. Laura passed away in 1982, at age 94 in Iowa.
