Weidemann was 16 December 1797 married Marie Qvist Ditlevine from Sandstø at Arendal (born May 22, 1774, death at Steinberg March 18, 1866). They had ten children, four of whom died young. Weide Manns daughters were never married, allegedly because her father could not accept any of the candidates spouse. In 1804 he bought the garden Steinberg, that uncle, sorenskriver Fredrik Sommerfeldt, had begun to build up as the official farm in 1791. Weidemann had listed several new houses in the garden, and he built the garden of a park in the English landscape style. On the farm he created a private plot for himself and his family. The property came in 1934 in Toten Museums own and is now part of Mjøs museum.
