Mrs. T.T. Biller Stroke Victim Broadway, Jan 22

Mrs. Lavina Biller widow of Timothy T Biller, and a native of the Cootes Store section died in the Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Md., this morning. She suffered a stroke in Septemeber and her condition had been considered critical for three weeks. Mrs. Biller was born on July 7, 1870, near Cootes Store, a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan McInturff Smuck. She was united in marriage to Timothy T Biller of Orkney Springs and he preceded her in death in 1915. Mrs. Biller had made her home here for a number of years, where she had a host of friends. In recent years she had been spending her winters in Washington and her death came as a great shock to her many friends in this section. She was a woman of sterling Christian character who was always willing to help those in need. She was a good wife and a kkind and loving mother. Mrs. Biller was an active member of the Broadway Baptist Church. Surviving in one son, Belmont Biller, of Broadway and five daughters, Miss Olivia Biller and Mrs. M. B. (Eunice) Reynolds, both of Alexandria; Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Wagner, of Broadway; Mrs. Guy (Wrenn) Gilkeson, of Herndon; Mrs. D.L. (Virginia) Cooke, Tacoma Park, Md. She also leaves ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One son, Layton Biller, preceded her in death in 1915. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the Broadway Baptist Church. The Rev. E.I. Sumpter will have charge of the services and burial will be in the Linville Creek Cemetery. The body will arrive here Saturday afternoon and will be removed to her late home, where a brief service will be held Sunday afternoon at one-forty for the family prior to leaving for the church. The body will be removed from her late home Sunday afternoon at twelve-thirty, to the church, to lie in state until the hour of the services. Pallbearers will be, Carroll Hulvey, Thomas Fawley, Howard Whetzel, Jack Whitmore, Raymond Whitmore, and Bill Harper. Pallbearers and friends are asked to meet at the church at on forty-five Sunday afternoon.
