Lawrence K. Cardwell

In April 1940 Lawrence Cardwell (4 years old, born in Illinois), his father Louis Cardwell (38, Illinois, governmental patrolman), mother Grace (37, Illinois), siblings J Grace (16, Illinois), Kathryn (15, Illinois), Louis (11, Illinois) and William (1, Illinois) were living in a rented house at 936 W 87th Street in Ward 18 of -central- Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. They lived in 1935 in Chicago too, but in another house.

On June 2, 1958 Lawrence K. Cardwell married in Chicago Mary Lou Clark, likely born on July 25, 1935 in Cook County, Illinois, very probably in Chicago.

On May 19, 1988, his [second?] wife Helen P. Casey, an 18-year veteran officer of the Chicago Police Department, died at the age of 50 years. She was driving to pick up her assigned squad car when she lost control of the temporary car. The car swerved and hit two trees on the 1500 block of South Sacramento Boulevard. Lawrence Cardwell was then also an officer of the Chicago Police Department and they had one son, Larry II.
