DEATHS Lea Hancox

Lea Hancox of Titusville, RD 3, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday in his home. He was born on Sept. 26, 1893 in Cherrytree Township, a son of Edward and Mae Hall Hancox. On Jan. 21, 1914 he married Elizabeth Crawford at Franklin. Mr. Hancox iived all of his life in the house in which he was born. He was a well-known dairyman in the area for many years, and was a member of Cherrytree Grange and Breedtown Baptist Church. Mr. Hancox is survived by his wife; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Ritchey of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Three sisters died previously. Friends may call at the Gordon C. Tracy Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and attend the funeral service there Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Leonard Ritchey, pastor of the Breedtown Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Breedtown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to a favorite charity.
