Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Leo Joseph Lucken, age 84, who died Sunday at the Albany Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
Leo was born in St. Martin to Joseph and Bertha (Willenbring) Lucken. He married Bertha VanHeel on October 7, 1955 at St. Francis of Assissi in St. Francis, Minnesota. Leo worked as a Farmer. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, and St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha; siblings, John (Virginia) Lucken, Clare Knettle, Lloyd (Fran) Lucken, Al (Florence) Lucken, Louise (Joe) Schwinghammer, Bertha (Mike) Stodola, Jane Nesbit, Valerie Taylor; in-laws, Rita Ritter, Arnold Kleve, and Arnold Bauer.
He was proceeded in death by sister, Joann Bauer.
Memorials are preferred to Richmond Fire Department or organization of your choice.
