A resident of York County, PA at the time of the 1800 Census, Leonard bought land in New York, sold land in Pennsylvania, moved his family, built a mill on Flint Creek, and became known as an early settler of the Town of Seneca, Ontario County, NY circa. 1805.

1st Wife: Maria Elizabeth Heinrich (Henry) d. before 14 July 1801.

2nd Wife: Annimiri "Mary" d. Aug. 1, 1831.
