About Leonard Norris Spears
Len owned a 65 foot schooner named the 'Swordfish' with a business partner. They used to take people deep-sea fishing off the east coast of Florida, between the Florida Keys and the Bahamas and Cuba. During prohibition they were allowed to carry 2 gallons of Whisky for "Medicinal purposes"

Len questioned his explanation until he finally confessed that he had been running guns to the Cuban rebels and General Bautista.
