I LONNIE J. POND, of Southampton County, Virginia, do hereby publish and declare
this my Last Will and Testament, in the manner and form following: That is to say,
First. I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my
decease as can conveniently be done.
Second. I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife ELLA MAY ROLLINGS, all my
Real Estate and Personal Property, of every kind and description and wheresoever located,
so long as she remains my unmarried widow.
Upon the death of my wife, I direct that my Real Estate be sold at public auction to the
highest bidder for cash. However if anyone of my children wishes to buy the home place
on which I now reside, he or she may do so at a price agreed to among all my heirs, And I
give, devise and bequeath the proceeds of the Real Estate to my six children,
ELIZABETH ANN POND GOODRICH, LONNIE JUDSON POND, JR., RICHARD
HUDSON POND, HOMER ROLLINGS POND, HARRELL DREW POND and PEARL
JOSEPHINE POND in equal shares, share and share alike.
Third. I give and devise and bequeath unto my son HOMER ROLLINGS POND, five
hundred dollars ($500.00) provided he stays home and cares for me and his mother.
Forth. I hereby appoint and nominate R. A. SAVEDGE and J. N. SAVEDGE (or
either of them), Wakefield, Virginia executors of this my Last Will and Testament, which
is written on one sheet of paper.
In witness of the foregoing, I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal to this, my
Last Will and Testament, which is executed at Wakefield, Virginia this 28th Day of March
1952.
