Leota Pearl Key

Leota Pearl Barton, dau. of David Andrew Barton and Jessie Emma Miller, was born in Reno Co., Kansas on June 23, 1913. She married with JAMES B. KEY on Sept. 25, 1943. He was born Aug. 15, 1911. He died Mar. 22, 1999; she died Jan. 1, 2003 in California and both are buried at Lone Star Cemetery, Pretty Prairie, Reno Co., Kansas.

Leota Pearl was born June 23, 1913 near Partridge, the daughter of Dave and Jesse Miller Barton. She graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1931 and earned a teaching certificate at Sterling College. She taught at Varner Grade School, Lone Star Country School near Pretty Prairie and at Plevna Grade School
