About Lester R. McEwen

Lester R. McEwen, aged 26, died Saturday at Kelso, following a short illness of pleurisy. Recently Lester lost two fingers in a mill operated by his father and himself in Rose Valley District. The pleurisy followed blood poisoning.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Kelso Methodist Church, with burial in the Toledo Cemetery. Mr. McEwen is survived by his wife, Alice McEwen and two children, Marian Frances, six and William, four years old; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. McEwen; six brothers, Melvin, Raymond, Albert, Wilbur, Elmer and Lyle, all of Rose Valley; three sisters Mrs. Clara Lidbury of Seattle, Mrs. Laura Roush of Shelton and Mrs. Alta Rasmussen of Battle Ground.
