Lester E. McQuate

Reading Eagle, June 28, 1980, p. 16 Lester E. McQuate, 77 of 1510 N. 11th St., died this morning in the St. Joseph Hospital, where he was admitted June 12. Born in Lancaster County, he was a son of the late John and Rebecca M. (Fasnacht) McQuate. McQuate was employed as a milling machine operator for the Textile Machine Works for 44 years. He retired in 1968. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading, and the Quarter Century Club of Textile Machine Works. Surviving are his wife, Margaret M. (Koch) McQuate; and a brother, Gordon McQuate of Ephrata. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Robert M. Bean Funeral Inc. with the Rev. Walter P. Feterly officiating. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
