DEQUINCY — Funeral services for Letha M. Banken, 86, of Sulphur, will be at 1 p.m. today, March 2, in New Hope Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jerry Chaddick, Carl Lane and Rodney Bankens will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of Snider Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. in the church.
Mrs. Banken died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, in a Lake Charles hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of the Lake Area. She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union.
Survivors include three sons, Marlin Marcantel and Joseph C. Banken, both of Sulphur, and John William Banken of Bridge City, Texas; one daughter, Ann Banken of Sulphur; two brothers, Luther Marcantel of Sulphur and Calvin Marcantel of DeQuincy; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
