Lettice ap RICE was born in the 10 year span after her brother Perrott ap RICE was born 1599-1600. Margaret Mercer was dead by 1610 thus it's impossible for her to have been the sister of Perrott ap RICE unless born prior to her mothers death. The Children who came were not spaced for the good recovery of the Mother Margaret who bore 7 children, 4 sons and 3 daughters in 12 year span she was married to THOMAS ap RICE 1570. Lettice ap Rice married Sampson Lort after his marriage to Olive Phillips ca 1630. Her brother Perrott ap RICE 1599-60 was in business with Sampson Lort supplying Victuals to the English Army about 1640-42 when Perrott disappears with a shipload of goods. Aparantly deemed lost at sea the insurance company may have paid off the claim to SAMPSON Lort's Creditors and Perrott ap RICE was never heard from again. DC RICE 1948
