About Levi John Wright

Levi John Wright was taken unconscious by ambulance to Whanganui hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said they were treating the death as suspicious. Five adults were in the Aramoho home when Levi was taken to hospital and Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the death. 22-year-old Edward George Mita admitted killing Levi John Wright despite initially laying blame with the boy's mother. The High Court at Whanganui was told that an autopsy found that death was consistent with the boy having been shaken vigorously while his hair was gripped, or with his head striking a hard surface while his hair was held.
