About Liba Luba Ahova Rappaport

Originally the family were there for many years (over 150 years at least). They lived in a town named Golina (Golin: Konin district) closed to Poznan. The father (our grandfather ) Salman or Shlomo in Hebrew. The mother of the family (our grandma) was Rosa or Shoshana. They had 8 kids 2 boys and 6 girls. Zalman passed away before in 1920' s and the mother has to raise the children herself. I might say that they were poor. The older son Nathan was recruited to the Polish army for few Years (I believed he fought against the Germans on Sep. 1939 during the invasion of the Vermacht. Unfortunatly Golina was invaded on Sep 1939 as far as Poland was divided by the Germans and the Rusions according to Riventrup Molotov agreement the rest of Poland was Invaded by the Vernacht on June 1941 .

My mother Luba (Polish) Ahuva (Hebrew) left the family on 1932 joining a youth movement (Hashomer Hatsahir) and went to Israel when she was about 19 years old. The rest of the family stayed there her youngest brother was Benjamin he was then 3 years old. During the invasion he was about 13 years old. Eventually he was the only one of the family that survived the Hollocaust. Beside my grandmother and her 7 children there were 2-3 grandchildren (of Nathan and of other sister) 1-3 years old that perished.

Most of the family were murdered in the in October 1941 massacred in the forests near Kazimierz Biskupi - including the last Jews of the community of G. in a very brutal way including the 3 babies.

Part of the family was sent to Aushviths and were gassed there.

Benny (Benjamin) survived the death camps he escaped more then once from the camps. I think he was one o thousands that survived. Eventually he came to Israel with his wife on 1949.

He was the only one that survived of my mother closed family
