About Lieut. John Noyes

He was called Ensign in 1718, Lieutenant in 1720; Selectman in 1713, 1714-7 and 1720, Tything man in 1718. The town meetings were held at Lt. Noyes' old house, where the precinct met on Sabbath days, 1724-7. It was near the old meeting house and cemetery.
