About Lt. Nathaniel Kellogg

Nathaniel Kellogg, I, was in Deerfield, Massachusetts, June 6th, 1693, when the town was attacked by Indians. He escaped danger, and alarmed the town.

He was one of the largest taxpayers in Hadley, a lieutenant in the militia, and was selectman of Hadley several terms: 1717, 21, 24, 27, and 37. He was one of the original members of the Amherst church Nov. 7, 1739. Nathaniel Kellogg married on Jun. 28, 1692, Hadley, MA.
