

Son of William Greer Scott (1839–1912) and Elizabeth Mary Scott (nee Walmsley) (1841–1906) who married on 30 March 1865. Husband of Ruby Scott. Lieutenant in AIR, file number 10275. Killed in action, Ypres, Belgium. Lieutenant V. R. S. Scott, killed in action, left with the twelfth reinforcements as second lieutenant, gaining promotion on the field in June. Prior to his enlistment he was farming in the Waikato. He leaves a widow. (Auckland Weekly News, 1 November 1917, p. 22). Remembered on the Te Aroha First World War Memorial, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha. Brother Pte. Robert Henry Victor Scott killed in action, Somme, 15 September 1916.
