Lieutenant Robert Peter Moseley, II was born on February 14, 1732, in Summerville Plantation, Dale Parish, Henrico County, Virginia, Colonial America. His parents were Robert Ligon Moseley, I and Sarah Rachel Moseley.

Robert married Mary Magdalene Moseley on September 23, 1756 in Manikintown, Cumberland, Virginia. Together they had the following children:

1. Thomas M. Moseley;
2. Captain Arthur Moseley;
3. John Moseley;
4. Magdaline Verreuil Bondurant;
5. Judith Anne Bondurant;
6. William Francis Moseley;
7. Peter Guerrant Moseley.

He died on January 30, 1804, in Willow Lake, Buckingham County, Virginia, United States and was buried in 1804 in Willow Lake Cemetery #1. Find-A-Grave
