Marriage news story. Some unreadable parts are denoted with ellipses (...):
Ackley World (Ackley, Iowa), Wed 20 Feb 1901, p.1
Sam Martin has returned to George, Iowa. We were almost persuaded to believe that he came with serious intent, but as he left alone there is some satisfaction in knowing that he ... sweet ... there is hope. He is one of the most generous and whole souled of men and the wonder is not that he .... here he is among friends who enjoy his presence.
The foregoing is a verification of the statement that "there is no telling what a day may bring forth." Miss Lagora(sic) Fahey and Sam Martin were married at the residence of Rev. Father Meagher, ‪Tuesday morning‬, by Rev. Father Ryan, of Allison. At the present time the pair are seeing the sights of the city - but just where the most intimate seemingly do not know. We expect to hear from them in due time; they will be at home at George, Iowa, where Mr. Martin has one of the largest farms in Lyon county, and it is there they will establish their happy home. From those who know the pair come expressions that happiness may be theirs

Ackley World Journal, p 5, Thursday Aug 6 1936 - Sisters Ligouri and Laura hurt:
AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Martin on Way Home to George, Ia.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Martin, who had visited in Ackley last week, stopped at Mason City on their way home to George, Ia., and visited a day in the Elmer Nangle home. They were unfortunate enough on Thursday, while driving, to collide with a truck driven by Ben Wiseman, Marble Rock, at the corner of Pennsylvania avenue and Fifth street S.W. Sam Martin was driving the car, which overturned when struck. Mrs. Nangle [Laura Bridget Fahey Nangle] and Mrs. Sam Martin [Ligouri Julia Fahey Martin], more badly injured than the rest of the group, were cared for at Mercy hospital. Other occupants were badly shaken up and Mr. Martin received cuts on the head.
